Anjia Q&A

About this board

What this is

A Q&A board for Chinese speakers settling into life in Canada. What gets asked here is the everyday business nobody hands you a manual for: how to get a health card, how to build a credit record, what the notice from your child's school means, whether the letter from the CRA needs answering.

Answers come from two places: members who have been through the same thing, and an AI assistant that may only draw on reference material we have verified ourselves.

Where an answer comes from

There are three kinds of content here, and they never look alike:

① Verified reference material — compiled by the editors. Every entry carries its sources and the date it was last checked.

② AI answers — labelled “AI-generated”, and they may only draw on the verified material above. Where we have nothing verified, the assistant says plainly that it cannot answer, instead of guessing.

③ Community answers — other members' own experience. Useful, often the most useful thing here, and not verified by us.

On every screen we label which is which. If you ever cannot tell them apart, that is our bug.

What we do not do

① There will never be paid placement inside an answer. If a recommendation ever earns us money, we will say so on the spot.

② We do not give immigration, legal or tax advice — only general information, plus a pointer to who you should see. For immigration in Canada that means a licensed consultant (RCIC) or an immigration lawyer. Do not decide anything about your status on one line from a forum or an AI.

③ We do not invent facts to fill a gap. “We don't know” is a real answer here.

Contact the editors

Found something wrong, out of date, or that reads like an advertisement? There is a “Report” button under every question and answer. A report is written down and read by someone on the editorial team — by a person, not automatically, so nothing happens the moment you send it, and no reply comes back to you. We would rather hear about it than miss it. (Reporting needs a login — not to keep you out, but to keep out malicious report-spam.)

Want your account deleted, or a copy of everything we have recorded about you? There are buttons on your own profile page, under “Your data” — you do not need to ask anyone. For anything else you need to reach us about — for instance if you can no longer get into your own account — tap “Report” under one of your own posts, choose “Something else”, and write clearly what it is about. There is no separate contact form yet, so this is the only way in.
